We hereby inform you that, pursuant to Circular No. 3,624, dated February 6, 2013, issued by the Central Bank of Brazil (“Bacen”), individuals and legal entities resident, domiciled or headquartered in Brazil that held abroad, as of December 31, 2020, assets of any nature in an amount equal to or exceeding USD 1,000,000.00 (one million U.S. dollars) or the equivalent amount in other currencies, must file the Annual Statement of Brazilian Capitals Abroad (“Annual DCBE”) with the Bacen.
The submission of the Annual DCBE for the base date of December 31, 2020 is due between February 15, 2021 and 6 pm on April 5, 2021.
The delay or failure to deliver the Annual DCBE, as well as the provision of incomplete or incorrect information, subjects the declarant to fines of up to R$250,000.00 (two hundred and fifty thousand reais), depending on the case.
