Início » EAA INJUNCTION – EMPLOYEES CLASSIFIED IN THE RISK GROUP

The EAA (Union of Employees of Self-Employed Agents in Commerce and in Advisory, Expertise, Information and Research Companies and in Accounting Services Companies in the State of São Paulo) obtained an injunction from the Regional Labor Court of the 2nd Region (Collective Dissent n. 1000784-80.2020.5.02.0000) to determine that the workers represented by it (employees in the companies represented by the employers’ unions listed below), who fit into the so-called “risk group”, are exempted from going to their workstations, remaining in “quarantine” for the duration of the critical period of the public health emergency resulting from the coronavirus. These workers will be able to provide services in their homes, when this is possible.

As a “risk group” the decision considers workers aged 60 or older, pregnant women, people with chronic respiratory diseases, heart diseases, diabetes, hypertension, or other conditions that depress the immune system.
